Introducing the New Pacific Floorcare®: Purpose Built® for Bsc's

in Company News

Pacific Floorcare®, a long-standing manufacturer of commercial cleaning equipment recognized for its solid construction and proven performance, today proudly re-introduces itself to the commercial cleaning industry, presenting its new leadership team, launching its new company brand, and unveiling its new S-20 automatic scrubber at ISSA/INTERCLEAN 2012.

With the commercial cleaning industry growing more competitive every day, Pacific Floorcare® spent the better part of the last 24 months taking the necessary measures to ensure its future viability. In 2010, the company hired Dave Nelson as president, tapping the well-reputed change agent for his decades of cleaning industry experience. Nelson saw a need for strong leadership within product development and marketing and hired Kip Kauffman as principal engineer and Kyle Strait as vice president of Sales and Marketing in 2011 and 2012 respectively. All three hail from Tennant Company and have a combined 35+ years of experience in the commercial cleaning industry.

Based on their in-depth industry knowledge and recent research, the trio recognized that Pacific Floorcare® is uniquely positioned as a privately owned, U.S.-based manufacturer to develop and sell high-value cleaning equipment solutions that offer tier one specifications at mid-market prices. As such, they saw an opportunity for the company to serve small to mid-sized building service contractors, who need high-performing, durable and flexible cleaning equipment to drive their success while reducing their costs. That clarity of focus is behind the company’s new slogan, logo and brand identify. Pacific Floorcare is purpose built for local BSCs—from its industry-experienced leaders to its reliable and affordable products to its high value customer experience.

The launch of Pacific Floorcare®’s new S-20 automatic scrubber exemplifies the company’s commitment to developing new products for building service contractors. The S-20 provides BSCs with high performance, durability, flexibility, and productivity at an affordable price. It is ideal for those working in retail, education, healthcare, and light industrial facilities and can be used for daily scrubbing, dedicated- or multi-facility route cleaning, detail and edge cleaning, grout and porous floor scrubbing, spill clean-up and water recovery, chemical-free finish removal, and more.

“This is an exciting time at Pacific Floorcare® as we have a renewed clarity of focus and intent on helping building service contractors and their customers,” said Dave Nelson, president of Pacific Floorcare®. “What we’ve realized through a period of discernment is that Pacific Floorcare and its products have always been purpose built for building services contractors. Now it’s time to ensure our customers—and their customers—recognize that, too.”

Kyle Strait, vide president of Sales and Marketing at Pacific Floorcare® added, “Our focus on local BSCs enhances our ability to develop products for in-house cleaning professionals as well. By studying and testing products with cleaning contractors who work across multiple facility and market types, we quickly and efficiently learn how to build products that will work great in those environments.”
